My friends and I do a weekly Discord movie night. While we sometimes know ahead of time what we're going to watch, we often just go with what we're feeling in the moment; however, we're not always the best group at deciding what we're feeling in the moment. So to help, I'll sometimes write a few movie blurbs to read to them to see if anything piques their interest or sounds good. Here are some of the ones I've written that we've ended up watching.
What do you do when you're in your late 20s living a modest but happy life - you don't smoke, you don't drink, you DO recycle - but then you find out you have cancer? Well, if you're a screenwriter and Seth Rogen is one of your best friends, you probably sit around getting high and make inappropriate jokes about a heavy subject. Then you turn that into a movie. It's a 50/50 split whether you'll laugh or cry in this original dramedy take on a subject that has impacted most of us.
