Dev Log 03.12.2026: PR Friction and the Burrito Betrayal

Random Thoughts from a Restless Mind

The Technical: Today was a study in communication overhead. Being a Senior Dev on an "emergency" project is 20% coding and 80% answering clarifying questions on PRs for a lead who isn't quite as deep in the stack. It’s a slow burn, but I’m making progress on the agency fires while keeping the Accumulated Knowledge refactor running on the side. Sometimes "Senior" just means having the patience to explain the why for the third time.

The Atmosphere: Swapped the emotional weight of Her for the retro-hacker vibes of WarGames. There's something cathartic about watching David Lightman outsmart a supercomputer while I’m navigating actual agency bureaucracy. It helped fuel some "angry productivity" that I used to reclaim the family room once the house guest cleared out.

The Rant: If you're going to name a place like it’s a destination for bold flavors, the burrito shouldn't arrive tasting like a "won't fix" ticket. A total letdown. Note to self: The search for a reliable, habanero-level delivery spot in Norton Shores continues.

The Coworker: Hubert and I have officially migrated back to the couch. He’s much happier now that he’s not "room-locked," and having the extra space to pace around has been good for my hands and my head.
