The Technical: Gave a tech talk to the team today — got a "it was good," which in that context is a win. Came out of it with a small new ticket queue: one QA-failed bug to assist another dev on, and two standard tickets. Also had the 3:00 PM one-on-one, which is always a good gut check mid-week.

The Atmosphere: Season 7 of The Good Wife, Episode 14. Still pushing through to the finale despite being genuinely annoyed at the circular writing and Alicia's demotion to Junior Partner. At this point, I just wanna finish.

The Coworker: Well-stocked. Acana Singles came in via DoorDash Petco delivery, so Hubert is set for a while. He approved of the flavor - lamb and apple.

The Setup: Today was the big one. Confirmed the monitor failure was a power supply issue — not the panel, thankfully — which kicked off a full cockpit reset. Transitioned to a triple-monitor array on a Huanuo gas-spring mount: a 24" high-refresh gaming monitor in the center, flanked by two 27" 4K LGs pulled out of retirement from around 2015. The RTX 2070 is running both DisplayPorts for the gaming screen and one 4K, with HDMI handling the second. Audio got sorted too — Logitech Z313 routed through the SteelSeries Arctis Pro GameDAC line out, with Sonar handling automatic switching between headset and speakers. The base setup, fully operational. Also managed a functional half-desk clean on the L-shaped desk to make the install possible without hitting full cleaning burnout, which is a real danger.

The Rant: Dad has chosen Hospice. He's been sick for a while — I've mentioned it here before — but we've reached that point now. He probably has a few months left. It is what it is and all that, but it's hard, and I don't have much more to say about it today than that.
