Dev Log 06.17.2026: A QA-Failed Ticket, a Rainy Stream, and Time Entry Hell

🤓 The Technical: Lighter work day, which I didn't mind after wondering lately whether the assignments had dried up. Got handed a ticket that came back QA-failed from someone else - which honestly reads like a vote of confidence that it landed on me. Cleared two PRs: a merge conflict fix and the bug fix itself. Also finally got my time entry submitted - caught up through May 22nd now, after going since April without a working time code. Still a month behind because phase three's code isn't ready, but that's not on me. Ran an afternoon coworking stream and got some personal code in alongside it.

😎 The Atmosphere: Rain, anime, and a heating pad early. Then a stream that actually had a few familiar faces in chat - rarer than it used to be - and enough of them to raid out at the end, which I almost never get to do.

🐶 The Coworker: Hubert wandered into the office to keep me company while I wrapped up - unusual for him lately. Model professionalism, as always.

😡 The Rant: Google's smart speaker. Ask it to play an album, it plays one song, or ignores me, or makes me repeat the command twice. The whole point of an album at bedtime is one command that ends on its own instead of auto-generating noise. It used to just work.

🙂🙂🙂 The Smiles: Solid recovery from a rough morning - two PRs in, a good stream with actual chatters, chicken patties in the oven, Hubert nearby, a movie cued up. Took the back half of the day exactly how I wanted it.
